A little bit about Mrs. Jimenez
I was born and raised in the beautiful state of Kansas. As a freshman in high school, I was bitten by the travel bug and took my first trip abroad to Mexico. I repeated a similar trip my sophomore year. My junior year, I participated in an exchange program and studied in Madrid, Spain. I also hosted an exchange student from Spain on two separate occasions. After my senior year, I went to Costa Rica for the summer. I have been to Costa Rica more than ten times!
While in college, I earned more credits from foreign universities than from universities here in the United States. I earned a Bachelor's Degree in International Business and Spanish from Baker University in Baldwin City, Kansas and a Master's Degree in Latin American Studies from the University of Kansas. I even had the opportunity to design an Interterm course for Baker University students. They traveled to Costa Rica, studied Spanish, lived with host families, and earned college credit.
In addition to the Spanish speaking countries, I have traveled and studied in England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, France, Germany, the Czech Republic, and Austria.
I have been married to my Costa Rican husband for more than fifteen years, and we have two beautiful boys.
I love the Spanish language and culture and can't wait to share it with you!
